Set sail for success

Research

At Mayflower, we are always reflecting on current educational research to inform teaching and learning. We think carefully about what to try next and what will be most useful for our pupils and school community. We are also active contributors to research. One of the research projects we worked on as a school was the use of flexible seating across the whole school. We trialled different kinds of seats in every classroom, and we partnered up with researchers from UCL to evaluate the findings. Our study was led by our Assistant Headteacher, Heba, and is the biggest global study of it's kind. You'll be able to read about it in a published article and also in a book soon.
