Up to 30 Hours FREE Childcare for Working Parents

The government’s childcare programme allows working parents of 3 & 4 year olds to receive a total of 1,140 hours of free childcare per year.

1. Term time - 30 hours per week for 38 weeks, excluding school holidays.

2. All year around - Fewer than 30 hours per week stretched across the year, including school holidays.

You can usually qualify if:

  • you (and your partner if you have one) are working
  • each earn a weekly minimum wage equivalent of 16 hours at national minimum wage or national living wage
  • and each earn less than £100,000 per year

Families where one parent does not work may still be eligible where the unemployed partner is in receipt of certain benefts.
